Cure sleep apnea with music.  Exercise your airways – with a harmonica!  The good news:  Sleep apnea is preventable – and reversible – and taking action now, so you can get the deep, healing rest your body craves, cuts your risk of high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes in half.  When airways are irritated and swollen, nighttime breathing can become a real chore;  reduce that swelling and you could cut your risk of sleep apnea 40%.  To do:  Take 750 mg. of Pycnogenol daily.  This anti-inflammatory plant compound can open airways often in as little as one week.  Available in health and whole-food stores.  Playing a wind instrument like a flute, clarinet, didgeridoo – even a harmonica! – for roughly 22 minutes daily could cut apnea episodes as much as half in 16 weeks.  Regularly blowing into one of these musical devices strengthens the muscles needed to keep your airways open while you sleep.

This morning Eleanor called because Luie’s back left leg – he was limping and not using it.  So dad and I ran over quickly and had a look at it.  Fortunately, tonight he is doing much better.

Today we had our Family Lunch at The Carvery Harry’s Hofbrau in Livermore with the family and celebrated Uncle Joe’s 91st birthday.  Such a fun day.  There was dad and I, Uncle Joe, Auntie Isabel, Tommy, Debbie, Deaunn, Jean, Kim, Landon, Annie, Hope, Bobby and Elizabeth.

Later this afternoon I went swimming for two hours.  Great day and I am healthfully exhausted tonight.  Sleep well.
